Tom graduated from Bradley University with a Bachelor of Science from the College of Business with a major in marketing. After spending five years with Sun Oil Company as a Petroleum Landman, Tom came back to Evansville to marry his wife Diane Reitz. He then began his career in Product Fundraising with Promar, Inc. as a Sale Representative and was there for 3 years. In 1989, Tom and Diane founded Paragon Promotions, Inc., using their living room as their first “warehouse space.” Tom and Diane have 3 children, Patrick, Lainie, and Sarah. Each have contributed to the growth and success of Paragon from an early age and continue to do so.
Diane and her husband, Tom, are the founders of Paragon Promotions. Since the company’s inception in 1989, Diane has served as the Chief Financial Officer and guided the company to a ten-fold sales increase. She has seen her company grow from 6 to 130 full and part-time local employees. Diane has six sisters, and all helped Paragon get its start. Two of them, Martha Reitz Steckler and Kathy Reitz, continue to actively work in the business. Tom and Diane have three children, Patrick, Lainie, and Sarah. Each of them contribute to the family business.
Patrick Stone is the son of Tom and Diane Stone and has worked for Paragon Promotions in various capacities over the years. He came to Paragon full-time in 2013 and in 2020 assumed the role of General Manager. Patrick married Abby in 2018, and welcomed their daughter in 2021. Patrick enjoys golf and having fun with this family!
Martha has been employed by Paragon Promotions since 1996, and before that time she also helped her sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Tom Stone, tally order forms and pack product for Paragon fundraisers. Martha graduated from Indiana State University with an Associates Degree in Business in 1976. She worked for Bristol-Meyers Squibb for 19 years as a coordinator in the Marketing Services Department. It was a natural transition to work as an outside sales representative for Paragon, and in 2005 she was promoted to Vice President of Sales. She married for the first time at age 57 to Allen Steckler and continues to enjoy her sales job at Paragon Promotions.
Nick has been employed by Paragon Promotions since the beginning of 2022 and is thrilled to have the opportunity to work with schools and organizations to meet their fundraising needs. He was born and raised in Evansville, IN, and now lives here with his wife and stepson. He taught 1st, 2nd and 4th grade before moving on to a career in sales. As a former teacher, Nick knows firsthand the importance of fundraising in schools, and loves to see the funds raised enrich our schools. The chance to work with Paragon seemed like the perfect marriage of Nick’s background in education and sales. “I sold through Paragon as a child, oversaw sales as a teacher, and now I find myself on the other side of the sale. I hope I can illuminate the benefits of working with Paragon and help your school or organization meet you financial goals!”
